This first nomination for Central Eastside Industrial District (CEID) comes from TAO and the “Smart Cities and Communities Session'' group. The proposed location has 6 apartment buildings within 3 block and another under construction. These mostly newer buildings were not zoned with enough parking to support all their tenants, which has overloaded parking, often blocking visitors to the area from patronizing local establishments.

TAO helped secure a relationship with Beam Development, their building owner, and is helping to bring in other resources.
Beam is working to identify and secure parking and charging for the nomination. They are the developers behind Eastside Exchange, that houses TAO, and the Slate apartments across the street.
